BJP Maharashtra Supporter is Helpless

Bjp Maharashtra

It’s been almost half a year since the new “Bjp supported” government found its way back in Maharashtra. I never wanted Bjp to come back to power before 2024. Nevertheless, Bjp came to power in Maharashtra for some good reason only they know. And since then, Bjp is struggling with lots of issues predominantly created by paid media. Bjp is unable to tackle them with strength, especially in Maharashtra. This is the birthplace of “Helplessness of a Bjp Maharashtra supporter”.

The Helplessness

Every Bjp Maharashtra supporter, I mean literally every supporter knows that Bjp Maharashtra lacks narrative building and strongly putting their point across. A good example is recent controversy related to statements given by Bjp leaders regarding Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Now, everyone knows how well the media played its role in distorting the truth. All supporters on social media are furious about it. But, what about the Bjp Maharashtra leaders?

It is appalling and equally frustrating to see the kind of reactions from Bjp Maharashtra leaders. It is amazing to see how Bjp avoids conflict even when they know they haven’t done anything wrong. I believe this is the Vajpayee Ji Time’s hangover. Bjp Maharashtra is so much on the backfoot that, it clearly shows that “Bjp Maharashtra is soft, weak, neither it has will nor has the guts to fight for the truth and muscle power to defend righteousness”.

Bjp Maharashtra is soft, weak, neither it has will nor has the guts to fight for the truth and muscle power to defend righteousness

These days, it is a common point of discussion amongst Bjp Maharashtra supporters that “Can this happen in UP under the rule of Yogi ji?” “If that Bjp leader can have guts to call out the opposition on their wrongdoings and shows the will to take action on them, why our Bjp Maharashtra leaders can’t?” And most of the time the discussion ends up with “But what option do we have?” It basically means that supporters are helpless until there is a viable alternative option for Bjp Maharashtra.

Such a bad way to get votes! But what’s the reason? Well, there are a couple main reasons.

Bjp Maharashtra and It’s Craving for Secular Tolerant Outlook

Believe me, the core Bjp supporters hate it to the guts when Bjp leaders show unnecessary restraint, the co-called tolerance towards pure evil plots against Hindus in the name of secularism. Also, the legacy of Vajpayee Ji is “togetherness or sab ka sath” which is treated as a gospel. I don’t have any issue with it except being politically paralyzed. Every supporter is irritated with this Secular and Tolerant outlook in this age and time. Because they all look at Yogi ji, Hemant Biswa Sarma who are unapologetic about their political and religious views. Let me tell the Bjp leaders in Maharashtra, core Bjp supporters absolutely love the way Yogi ji and Hemant ji conduct themselves in public. They hate it to the gut, when Bjp leaders in Maharashtra share the stage with those who insult RSS, and Swatantryaveer Savarkar. They just hate it!

Bjp’s Hands in Gloves

Honestly speaking almost all Bjp leaders in Maharashtra have direct or indirect connections with opponent party’s leaders on political, social, family and business levels. One of the main reasons is they can’t utter a single word which will offend the opponents. Do you know why Kejriwal’s “Sab mile huwe hain ji” finds resonance in many parts of India? Because it’s TRUE. All Bjp leaders are friends with many of the opponent party’s which is considered normal or healthy (?). The opponent leaders who day in and day out utter trash about everything and everyone Bjp supporters consider respectable be it Sanatan dharma, or Lord Shri Ram or Swatantryaveer Savarkar. Have you ever seen Yogi ji, or Hemant Biswa Sarma ji or even Annamalai to share stage with any of the leaders who talk trash about their party? But surprisingly it’s a routine in Maharashtra.

Lack of Muscle Power and Street Power

Politics is a game of numbers, in the government as well as on the streets. Bjp leaders in Maharashtra have forgotten that a mere rise in numbers of MLA’s and MPs doesn’t guarantee good governance. In fact, many of the Bjp MLA’s face the threat of losing in consecutive elections. Not because they are bad (in most cases they are as good or bad as other party’s MLA’s) but because they can’t show the street power or the muscle power when it matters. Now you will ask, what is the point of having street power or muscle power in democracy?

Bjp in general and Maharashtra in specific needs to come out of “Kadi ninda” mode and show the rit of the state and guts to take any political challenge head-on on the streets.

Well, consider the case where opponents talk trash about the tallest Bjp leader at the moment and his family in the state or throw ink on the face of a Bjp Leader, what is the response from Bjp Maharashtra… you guessed it right “Kadi Ninda” and “We are misinterpreted”. That’s it! People dislike it when their leaders do mouth service when there are real people on the ground who are suffering due to the chaos caused by the fake news, paid media propagated narrative and muscle power shown by the opponents. Take for instance the Bandh called by the opponents in Pune on 14th December 2022. What’s the government’s response? Anything done to stop or control it? Any word of comfort for those who have nothing to do with this politics but want to earn the daily bread? Has Bjp in Maharashtra been able to shut down or at least control fringe casteist groups? No wonder Bjp supporters are upset.

Conclusion

I know I’m going to make many Bjp members and also supporters upset by spilling the beans. But the truth needs to be told. Bjp Maharashtra needs a revamp of their identity. The days of Sahakar and Secularism are gone. The quicker the Bjp Maharashtra leaders understand it the better. Supporters are looking for strong leaders in the legislative positions as well as on the streets. The day some legitimately unapologetic hardcore Hindutva party or group rises in Maharashtra, Bjp is going to lose the supporters quickly. Remember if you stand up for someone only then you can expect them to have your back!

Before I ask you to let me know your thoughts, I want to ask a famous question which Tarek Fatah asked Indians in his interview to the “In the fight on the street between a lawyer and a goon, who will win?” The answer to this question is the key to getting supporters of Bjp in Maharashtra, out of this “helplessness”.

Anyways, enough of my rant. Now let me know your thoughts and share the blog if you like what I said.
